On Friday morning, March 3, 2023 William Wilcox Nalder passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Prairie Ridge in Raymond. Bill is survived by his six children; Bruce (Mavis) Nalder, Sandy (Barry) Genta, Stuart Nalder, Byron (Deanne) Nalder, Carolyn (Gary) Smith, Shauna (Rock) Smith; and his 23 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren; his sister Barbara (Dick) Lindburg; his sister-in-law Elaine (Burns) Sabey.

He was predeceased by his parents Clifton and Eulala Nalder; his brothers Sherwin (Barbara) Nalder, Alan (Reina) Nalder, his sister Marie (Tom) King, and his granddaughter Lauren Ruth Smith.
Bill was born April 12, 1925 in Raymond Alberta. He was the oldest of 5 children. His early life was filled with love, devotion to the gospel of Jesus Christ, family, friends, gardening, and hobbies. He loved badminton, wood working, hunting, and fishing.

Bill married Ruth Bingham on February 27, 1946, in the Cardston Alberta Temple. They were happily married for 73 years until Ruth’s passing in 2019. They established their home in Raymond where they raised their 6 children. Together they lived lives filled with love and devotion to their family, extended family and their community.

Bills life was blessed by his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He devoted his time serving faithfully in various and numerous callings. His lasting legacy is one of devoted service to family, friends, neighbors and the Community of Raymond, by serving the library board, and Town Council for 9 years.

A hallmark of his life was his consistent, constant and quiet, anonymous service to those in need. He possessed a strong, steady, work ethic as evidenced by his teaching at the Raymond High School for 35 years. He also engaged in various other businesses throughout his life. He possessed a love of learning and was knowledgeable on a variety of subjects. He shared his love of learning with his family.

No tribute could be more eloquent than the overwhelming love and respect which we, as a family, have for our father and his noble example of Christ like love and service.

We are grateful for the exceptional care dad has received from the staff at the Good Samaritan Ridge in Raymond.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday March 18, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints RAYMOND STAKE CENTRE (2 N 200 W, Raymond).
