Shirley de Winter

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shirley de Winter of Magrath Alberta.  She left us the 27th of March 2023 with her husband at her side.  She was born to parents, Edgar and Irene Joyce in Richmond Virginia the 8th of February 1948.  Shirley was a kind and loving individual who worked hard at everything she did.  Her cooking was second to none and full of flavor – a favorite amongst children and grandchildren alike.  Quilting was a passion of hers and cherished by family and friends. 

Shirley is survived by her husband Mel de Winter, siblings Eddie (Connie) Joyce; Linda (Ron) Wardell; Michael Joyce; son and daughter, Ronnie (Ruth Ann) Langford; Kim Brown, grandchildren Jessica Butler; John (Sydney) Roberts; Casey (Skylor) Cashion; Destiny Langford; Amanda Garrett; Jonathan Garrett; Cory Garrett; Olivia de Winter; Alister de Winter, great grandchildren Shana Hayes; Aiden Roberts; Ella Godsey; Landon Roberts; Arabelle Roberts; Brazos Cashion; Grayson Roberts; Aiden Garrett; Aryn Garrett; Jonathan Garrett, Gavin Garrett; Brynleigh Garrett, and numerous nieces and nephews

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Irene; sister Joanne Simmons.

Funeral service will be held at the Garden Place Chapel at 107N center street in Magrath Alberta, March 31, 2023 at 11:00am (MDT).  Friends are welcome to meet with the family on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45am prior to the Service at the church.

Interment will take place following the Service at the Magrath Cemetery.
