It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Karon Giannakos, born December 12, 1955, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 13, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of Alex Giannakos, with whom she shared 36 wonderful years of marriage, devoted mother of Stavros Giannakos and Melinda Schatschneider, and cherished sister, aunt, and friend.

Rose will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures - baking, fishing, and traveling. Among her fondest memories were the many trips to Greece with Alex and Stavros, where they visited family and explored the countryside together.

Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched all who knew her. Rose created a home filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of something always baking in the oven. She shared her time, her talents, and her warmth freely, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Alex, her children Stavros Giannakos and Melinda Schatschneider, and her sisters Rona, Audrey, and Elorie, along with their spouses and their families.

She is also fondly remembered by Alex's brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends in Arta, Greece, who will hold her memory close.
Rose's memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends, who will miss her deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home at 3:00pm.
