Roger Frederick Carter Obituary

On Friday December 20, 2024, at the age of 89, our beloved stepfather Roger, passed away while residing at St. Therese Villa in Lethbridge Alberta.

He suffered from dementia over the years, and his quality of life had diminished because of this.

He will now reside in heaven, with his recently deceased wife Audrey, as well as all his family and friends, who have left in the past.

Roger leaves behind his stepchildren Debra, Brenda (predeceased June 2023),

Karen, and Kevin, as well as his niece Karen, and nephews Larry Jr. and Sean, as well as his great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and past foster children, including Lucy Nickell.

Roger will be remembered for his gentle, kind and patient nature, and his love of playing pool, and travelling to Barbados, where he married my mom there on November 7,1990.

Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including the staff at St. Therese Villa, where he resided with my mom since 2019, until her passing on July 14,2024.

In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, or plant a tree in his memory.

A Family Service will take place on Sunday May 4, 2025 at 3:30 pm at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, in Lethbridge Alberta, and will include the service for both Roger and Audrey Carter.
