Richard "Dick" Williams Obituary

Richard Bruce Williams, known to most as Dick, passed away leaving behind a family who meant everything to him. He was predeceased by his wife, Debbie.
Dick was born on July 23, 1951, and was raised in Raymond, Alberta. He was the fifth child of Cliff and Elsie Williams, and he carried with him the values of hard work, family, and devotion throughout his life. He married Debbie on July 15, 1972. Together they made a life focused on their family.
He spent much of his life roping and working with horses, doing what he loved most. He also worked as a truck driver and driver trainer, roles that reflected his strong work ethic, steady nature, and willingness to teach and support others.
More than anything, Dick loved his family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Paycen, Weston, Rylan, Cassidy, Kaden, Chase, Josh, Brandon, Liz, Leslie, and Cash as well as his great-grandchildren Nessa, Emerson, and David. Many others called him grandpa. He was also proud of his children Cheyne (Holly), Devany (Scott), Heather, Aimee, Cody (Lynn), and Jamie (Tami).
Dick found great joy in following his children and grandchildren to their many activities. Even when he was unable to attend in person, he made sure to watch the reruns and took immense pride in all they accomplished.
Along with his wife Debbie, he was predeceased by his parents, Cliff and Elsie Williams, his brother Jim, and his sister Myrna He is survived by his siblings Glen, Dale (Alma), Jolyane (Bill), Marolee, and Ina Jean (Dave), along with many extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cobblestone Chapel (27 Cobblestone Ln, Raymond, AB T0K 2S0).
