Patricia Reid Obituary

Patricia Ann Reid (née Wannop) of Lethbridge, Alberta, beloved wife of Daniel Reid, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 63 on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Reid; her four children: Shalena Crandall, Blaine (Shelly) Reid, Katrina Reid, and Krystle (Joe) Reid; Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Victoria (Carlos), Vanessa, Thomas, Magdalena, Harrison, Hyrum, Olivia, Marcus, Isabelle, Abagail, Alexa and Danielle and one great grandchild: Rachel; her siblings, JoAnn (Don, dec), David (Lourdes), Donald (Dawnetta), Marie (Dennis, dec), Linda, Carol (Chris), Roberta (Chris) and sisters in law Barb and Bonny. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Pat is now reunited with her parents Lawrence and Hazel; sister, Jane; brothers George and Alan, as well as many others who have passed before her.

Pat was born October 18, 1958 in High River, Alberta. Her family moved to Raymond in 1967 after her father passed to be closer to their extended family. This is where she found eternal love with Dan in 1976, whom she married in 1978 and spent 44 years of her life loving and raising a family with him. Dan and Pat started out in New Dayton and eventually moved out by Park Lake. They were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Diamond City and were involved in the Picture Butte and surrounding communities. Pat became a registered nurse in 1992, and worked primarily on the maternity floor at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. In 1998, her family moved into Lethbridge where she continued to work until she retired due to health concerns.

Pat was a proud wife, mother, and nana. She loved the gospel and had a strong testimony. Her favorite times were spent with her husband and family while they traveled (especially to Hawaii), did cooking and canning, had family game nights (where she almost always won), and was a boisterous cheerleader who supported her children and grandchildren's various sports and other activities (especially soccer). In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, watching game shows and reading. She enjoyed dressing up as her "Rachel" persona, where she would use her accent and rubber duck props to entertain and make those around her smile. She had the biggest heart and would help anyone if she was able. She treasured any and all time spent with her children and grandchildren. She supported them and all those she loved in all their endeavors and she will be very, truly missed by all.
