Olga Hlushko, a woman of deep faith and boundless love, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on October 16, 1930, Olga's long and meaningful life was a testament to her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Olga was a proud Registered Nurse, having completed her training at the Lamont Hospital/Archer Memorial School of Nursing in 1951. She cherished the friendships she made during her time there and remained close with her classmates for many years to come.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Olga's greatest joy was found in the warmth of her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Hlushko in 1976, her precious son, Ken in 2012, as well as all her siblings; her sister and four brothers.

Olga's legacy lives on through her family, who were the centre of her world. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Daniel) Latremouille, Judy (Hans) Schrempf and daughter in law, Peggy Hlushko; her nine cherished grandchildren; and her nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Her home was a place where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and every family member and friend felt her unconditional love.

Known for her gentle, yet sometimes feisty spirit and tireless hands with a grip like no other, Olga expressed her love through her cooking, her sewing, her gardening, and the countless small acts of kindness she did for others. She taught her family the importance of hard work, humility, and the richness of a life well-lived. 

The family wishes to say thank you to the special staff at Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge for the care and love they showed not only for Olga, but her loved ones over the past three years.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Olga's life on October 18, 2025, in Regina, Saskatchewan.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice.
