Nick passed away at the palliative care unit of St. Michaels Health centre in Lethbridge on Wednesday July 17th 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife Charlie and his children Henry (26) Ella (22) and Lily (18).

Nick was survived his mother Shelley Clarke, step father Christopher Coates, sister Suzanne (Jack) Edwards. He was an uncle to Lexi (Bryson), Emma, Harriet (John) and Isabelle (Ryan) and a cousin to Mandy, Kate, Helen, Tim, Richard, Deborah, Romy and Adrian.

Nick was predeceased by his father Geoffrey, his beloved grandfather Bampi and his grandmother Nana, aunts Jan and Annie, also Granny Clarke, uncles Michael (Molly) and Patrick Clarke.

Nick was born in Pembury Kent UK on August 10th 1969, he went to school locally and then preceded to take his love of farming and attended Plumpton Agricultural College, he specialized in dairy and after college took a job at the college farm.

In 1996 he met Charlie while she was a student at the college and they married in 1997, their son Henry was born in May 1998 followed by their daughter Ella in July 2002, in December of 2004 they decided to leave the UK and make Alberta, Canada their home.

Nick worked on a dairy farm just outside of Picture Butte, in 2006 their family was completed with the birth of their daughter Lily.

In 2010 Nick took a job with an animal feed company and for the next several years made new friends and some very close relationships. In 2019 he started his own feed company with a colleague and continued to work throughout his treatment. These were some of his very best years.

Nick loved to be outside, he loved his home, his family and all his customers and was a huge Seahawks Football fan, enjoying several games when visiting his sister and her family in Seattle over many Christmases, but he was most happiest camping with his dog Koda.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 10th 2024 from 12:00 till 4:00 PM at the home of Nick and Charlie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Palliative care unit at St Michaels Health Centre.
