Max Bert Powelson passed away peacefully with his family at his side, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
Max was a friend to everyone. He considered all he met and associated with as a friend.
His wife, Rae, his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were his BEST friends.
He was always planning a party or a visit. Everyone would stop by if they saw Max outside and there was always time to visit.
Max loved to go camping with his family and friends especially at Pole Haven and Tally lake. Riding quads in the desert and being in Palm Springs for the winter in his years of retirement was most fun.
Max had a Bucket list and completed most of what he wanted to do in his full life. One of these was seeing the Great Wall of China and he and Rae did that in 2018.
He loved serving his town community and served on the Raymond Fire Department for 40 years.
Max was his kids and grandkids greatest fan no matter what they they were doing.
July 1 st in Raymond, rodeo, football, basketball, volleyball, soft ball, wrestling, band concerts, whatever he could attend he would be found there cheering the kids on. His family, town, and church were his life. Life was busy and full.
Max says “Cowboys don’t say Goodbye, just See You Later”
