Mrs. Mary Faber, beloved wife of the late John Faber passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on February 07, 2024 at the age of 81.
Mary was born on June 25, 1942 in Loechau, Czechoslovakia.
Mary is survived by her children Chris (Brian) Nishiguchi, Cathy Faber, Marion (Wilf) Robertson, and Micheal (Angela) Faber. Five grandsons: Jordan Nishiguchi, Gregory (Robyn) Nishiguchi, Jared Robertson, Aidan Robertson, and Brandon Faber. 2 great grandsons Denver and Bowen Nishiguchi.
Mary along side her late husband John, were lifetime farmers north of Coaldale. She developed a love of growing fruits and vegetables on the family farm. She was kept busy selling the fruits and vegetables both off the farm and at the Lethbridge Farmers Market. Mary also loved to spend time in the kitchen baking and cooking. She could truly make something out of nothing. Her meals will be missed by many! Something that was very important to Mary was her Catholic faith, with that faith she chose to serve as a member of The Catholic Women’s League for 40 years.
In their retirement years Mary and John were blessed with the opportunity to travel. These travels included cruises thru Panama, Alaska, Florida, the Caribbean, and the Maritimes. In addition, they had trips back home to the “Old Country”, as it was often referred to.
A special thanks to the Emergency Room doctors and nurses for their care and support.
The Memorial service will be held on Monday February 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at the St. Ambrose Parish (1531, 23 Ave. Coaldale)
