Lynne Louise Bennett

Lynne Louise Bennett daughter of Frank and Janet Brandle, peacefully passed away in Lethbridge Alberta on August 14, 2023 shortly after her 80th birthday. She is survived by her husband Craig Bennett and her children Karen (Mark) Mitchell, Daniel Bennett, Rich (Nathalie) Bennett, Dwayne Bennett, Wanda (Jacob) Smith, and Andrea (Phillip) Twedt. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Lynne was born a fourth daughter to her parents in Ontario during the war in 1943 and lost her mother to an operation 2 years later. It was then her father moved them to Alberta to be closer to family.

Her father remarried and soon she had 2 additional sisters and enrolled in LCI where she excelled in drama, sports, and business. Lynne was a bright and happy people person that loved to talk with friends, sing, act, and compete. She was also devoutly religious and loved God and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  

At 16 Lynne met the love of her life at a dance and from then on she spent every moment she could with her future spouse, Craig.  

Sadly, her father passed away shortly before her wedding and Lynne and Craig started a life devoted to one another where Lynne served as a loving homemaker for her 6 children living in Magrath. Her talkative nature and kind spirit touched many lives in the community and the love she shared so openly was returned exponentially. She used her gifts as a baker to give comfort and treats to her many friends and neighbors since she could never tolerate people going hungry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints MAGRATH GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL (170 N Centre St, Magrath) on Saturday August 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
