Kurt Daniel Slomp passed away, leaving behind a legacy of quiet faith, family devotion, and appreciation for life's simple gifts. A committed Christian, Kurt was an avid churchgoer who made it a priority to be home every Sunday for worship. His Sundays were often spent gathered with family at Grandma and Grandpa's, enjoying lunch, laughter, and card games.
Kurt found peace in both his faith and the beauty of nature. While he valued time at home, he also embraced moments of adventure—heading to the mountains to hike or snowboard, taking in the wonder of God's creation.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents Debi, and Gerald and Michelle, his siblings Brittany, Bo, Dean (Lindey), Seth, and Mark, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. He was predeceased by his grandparents Hilda and Bernie, and his Uncle John.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Iron Springs Christian Reformed Church (224 Centre Street, Iron Springs, Alberta,).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to STARS in Kurt's memory.
