LELA BULLOCK
LELA (CHIPMAN) BULLOCK wife of M. Kirk Bullock was welcomed home to join her beloved husband on August 24, 2021 at the age of 93, one week after Kirk’s passing. Lela was born in Lethbridge on April 12, 1928 and lived in Welling most of her life.
She attended Olds School of Agriculture for one year, where she took Home Economics, which was a blessing to her while she raised a large family. From October 1947 until October 1950 she attended Galt School of Nursing in Lethbridge. She had compassion, love and charity for all those that she came in contact with.
Lela and Kirk were married October 19, 1950 in the Cardston Alberta Temple, four days after her graduation from nursing school. Lela worked in the Raymond and Magrath Hospitals and the Raymond Care Centre.
She was a faithful active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings with dignity and honour.
Lela loved her family, and always had a listening ear. She spent many hours doing family history work and enjoyed attending and working in the Temple.
She was happy to spend time with Kirk, as they farmed and gardened together. Popping lids in canning season was music to their ears!
