Jon Michael Ackroyd (March 7, 1950), beloved husband of Wendy Seely Ackroyd, Passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He left his mortal existence peacefully with his wife at his side.

He is survived by his wife Wendy, his sons Matthew and Stephen, his daughters Catherine and Jessica, his stepchildren Jeramy and Cheryl;  his brothers James, Robert, Ronald; his sisters Bett, Geraldine and Judith; as well as numerous Grandchildren, Great nieces and nephews.

Jon was predeceased by his parents Charles Ackroyd and Ruth Evans Ackroyd. He loved his family dearly.

Jon was born and raised in Raymond Alberta. After high school he attended Lethbridge Community College. In 1969 Jon served a two year Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a devoted member of the church he served in many capacities and dedicated his life to giving 110% always.

Jon successfully earned his degree in Business  Management from the University of Lethbridge, and began his practice as a registered public accountant. He served as an accountant in the Drayton Valley, Edmonton and Lethbridge areas for 35 years. Jon maintained a high level of integrity and dedication to his clients, his goal was always to do the best he could on their behalf.

Jon had a love for life and was curious and giving by nature. He was genuinely interested in everyone's circumstances and their story. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the FORESTRY AVENUE CHAPEL of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4105 Forestry Ave S, Lethbridge, Alberta with Bishop Brad Low presiding.

Friends are welcome to meet with the family from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
