Joe Lynn Spencer died January 15, 2024 at his home in Coaldale, Alberta. He was born October 9, 1948 in Richfield, Utah. Joe is predeceased by his parents, Merlin and Sherlene Spencer and a daughter, Lydia Anne Fredin (Matt). He is survived by his wife, Jerris, two sisters: Mary Loop, and Jean Brunk, six children: Michelle (Mike Bochnic) Becky, Ben, Zane (Charidy), Zed (Katherine), Zach (Sam), and 13 grandchildren: Ashton, Daisha, Tristan Hardy (Anthony), Declan, Kade, Callum, Luca, Braydon, Graicie, Josh, Ethan, Patrick, and Rylie.

          He was a “Joe” of many trades, a carpenter, a sign maker, a farmer, an artist. He had a big heart, and a kind and gentle spirit. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including a two year mission in Great Britain, an executive secretary, a seventy, and a ward clerk. All who knew him well loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COALDALE CHAPEL (2216 21a Ave, Coaldale).

Friends are welcome to meet with the family from 10:00 to 10:45am on Thursday prior to the service at the church.
