Heather Jane Navratil passed away suddenly on September 11, 2024, at her home in Okotoks, Alberta at the age of 65. Heather was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 14, 1958, to Bryan and Patricia (Timms) Whitehead. On November 24, 1979, she married the love of her life, Rodney Navratil. Heather graduated from Raymond High School. She then received her associate's degree in Home Economics from Rick’s College in Rexburg Idaho. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed interior design. Heather was an excellent cook, and her grandchildren loved the special birthday cakes she would make for them. Heather started working at a young age in her family's business, The B & B Confectionery in Raymond, Alberta. Most of her career was spent working for Sears Canada in Calgary and later at Scotiabank in Okotoks until she retired. She loved working with the public and serving in the community. Heather had a very strong testimony and love for the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many different callings in the church and was a good example to all. Family was very important to Heather, she loved getting together often. Heather loved to travel with family and friends. She created many memories that will always be cherished. Heather is survived by her husband Rodney Navratil; sons Curtis (Leslie), Stephen, Jason. Grandchildren; Rylee, Bradey, Maddison, Liam, Charlene, Logan. She is also survived by her sisters Jackie Dewar, Annette (Gord) Hunter, Cheryl (Dave) Bartley. Heather was predeceased by her parents Bryan and Patricia Whitehead and brother Connel Whitehead. She was loved by her extended family and many friends and will forever be in our hearts.
The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday September 25, 2024 at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - 384 Banister Dr Okotoks, AB.
Friends may meet the family from 1:00-1:40PM prior to the service at the church.
A Graveside Service will held at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond Alberta Thursday September 26 at 12:00 noon.
