It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, and friend.  Gloria will be missed by son Jake Gilmour, daughter Akemi Gilmour (Rob Shimbashi), sister Gail Kamitomo (Bill Brennan), nephews Kyle Brennan, and Jonathan Brennan along with numerous cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents John and Fusako Kamitomo and infant brother.  

Gloria spent most of her life in Raymond except for her university years in Edmonton.  Gloria was a beloved teacher at the Raymond Elementary School where she taught for 30+ years.  She was also a sensei with the Raymond Judo Club.  She will be missed by many past students and judoka.  Since her retirement she loved to travel with her good friends Sue Tulk and Sue Koegler.

Her real light were her children and being a mother.  She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing just as she always wanted.

Funeral will be held June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Raymond Elementary School Gym.
