Glen Robert Bly

GLEN ROBERT BLY has been reunited with his eternal companion, Christine Jeannette (Spotton) Bly. He passed peacefully Sunday December 5, 2021 after his fight with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Kristine Alston-Bly, children Russell Bly (Teresa Byam), Kristi (Bly) Woolley (Jeff), And Shane Bly (Kate Levarda). 

Glen was born to Doug and Ardath Bly in Magrath, AB on January 30, 1956. The last of 12 children, he grew up with brothers, sisters, and cousins. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints in the Canada Halifax Mission. He married Christine Spotton in 1978 and raised his 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great children. In early February 2020, his wife of 40 years passed after a year long battle with cancer. 

Early in 2021 Glen married Kristine Alston, and was able to have a beautiful, happy sunset to cap off his life of service and giving. 

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021. Interment will be at 9:00 am, meet the family will follow at 10:00 am, and the service will be at 11:00 am at the MAGRATH STAKE CENTRE. Covid QR codes and other covid measures will be required in order to accommodate as many as possible who wish to attend. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Jack Addy Cancer clinic (960 19 Street S Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 1W5).
