George Shoji Yamada (1943-2024) died at Raymond hospital on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the age of 80 years. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Catherine, his daughters: Christina, Cynthia (James) Layton, Takara (Michael) Taylor, Naomi, and Mariko.  

Grandchildren: Ethan (fiancée Mallory Stott), Asia (Ethan) McAllister, Jacob, Mia, Emiko and Isla Taylor, and Isaac Layton. 

Siblings: June (Sam) Tonomura, James (Kay), May (Michael) Ah-Sue, and Peter (Barb), and their children. 

Predeceased by his parents Shouemon and Hatsu, and a sister Masako (David) Auton. 

Visitation will be at 10:00 am prior to the service. Funeral will be Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 am at the Lethbridge Stake Centre of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2410-28 St. S. 

Interment in Barnwell cemetery.
