Fae Kailly

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Fae Marlene Ann (Reinhart) Kailly, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. She passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 78 years. Fae was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on September 13, 1944 but lived most of her youth and young married years in Vancouver, BC. She later moved to Calgary, AB for the next 20 years where she continued to grow and raise her family as well as working at her own retail store. The last 30 years she enjoyed being a landlord and living in Lethbridge, AB.

Fae leaves behind her three beloved children: Her son Keith Kailly (Linda) of Surrey, BC, her daughter Karma Lande (Robert) of New York, NY and her daughter Marla Kailly (Mike) of Calgary, AB. She will be missed by her four grandchildren: Daniel and Eric Kailly of Vancouver, BC, Alyson Kailly of Victoria, BC and Sophia Lande of New York, NY. Fae is survived by her sister, Florence Reusch of North Vancouver, BC, and predeceased by her parents Edgar and Mary Reinhart. 

Fae enjoyed living in her own home and spending time with her family, catching up with distant friends on the phone, and spending time with her friends from the singles club. She was particularly fond of Judy Briscoe. She loved playing cards, reading novels, and planning her next project or renovation. Fae shared fond memories of travelling to Europe to see sights, and meet family from Austria. She was always eager to visit her cousins Judy and Jack Forsyth on their farm in Saskatchewan and enjoyed visits from her nephew Randy Reusch (Tina) of Surrey, BC. A special thank you to Susan Kurkilahti who helped care for Fae over the past year.

A Funeral Service will be held at Salmon & Sons Funeral Home, 433 Stubb Ross Rd South, Lethbridge, AB at 11:00am on Saturday, September 2, 2023. The service will be followed by a light lunch. Afterwards, friends are welcome to join family at Fae's home, 1409, 20th Ave North, Lethbridge, AB from 2pm-5pm.

Cremation, with interment at a later date in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan.
