Elma Belter

With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Elma Belter on Saturday September 25, 2021 at the age of 78.
Born and raised near Herbert SK. Elma spent majority of her life in Lethbridge with her family.

Lovingly survived by daughter Charlotte (Belter) Emard and grandchildren Brooke, JD (Samantha), Hunter. Son Tracey Belter (Susan) grandchildren Caleb and Mariah. Father of her children, Clarence Belter (Colleen) and survived by one sister, Frieda Crawford, sister in laws Rose Harder and Elsie Harder as well as many nieces and nephews.  Elma was predeceased by her parent Johan and Margaretha, brothers John, Abe, Corny, Jake and George, Sisters; Margaret, Agatha, Edith and her twin Hannah.

Elma was happily retired at the age of 50 and continued a very active lifestyle. She enjoyed many daily walks, loved living in her condo at Grandview where she was able to participate in many social activities. Elma will be remembered as a kind loving person who was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. She was her families confidant and loved any time they were all able to gather together.

Elma was a woman of deep faith and enjoyed her time at Faith Baptist Church. We know she is sitting at the right hand of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ, reunited with her loving twin, Hannah Webber and will always be watching over and guiding us.

Elma is lovingly survived by her daughter Charlotte, her son Tracey (Susan), grandchildren Brooke, JD (Samantha), Hunter, Caleb and Mariah, father of her children Clarence (Colleen) Belter, her sister Frieda Crawford, sister-in-laws Rose Harder and Elsie Harder as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Elma was predeceased by her mother and father, Johan and Margaretha.  Brothers John, Abe, Corny, Jake and George and sisters Margaret, Agatha, Edith and her twin, Hannah.  

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB.
