Edwin Aanestad

EDWIN AANESTAD of Lethbridge passed away May 6, 2022 at Fort Macleod Extendicare at the age of 81 years.

Edwin was born in Enchant on November 14, 1940, the youngest of nine children of Elias and Ragna Aanestad. He attended school in Enchant and then starting farming.

He married Clara Pinel in 1964, Kevin Wade was born in September 1965. Clara passed away at a young age in 1968, leaving Edwin and Kevin on their own. In 1971 Edwin married Marilyn Ellefson which later ended in divorce. Together they had Lisa Marie born in December 1978.

After retirement Edwin sold the farm and moved to Lethbridge. He then moved to Fort Macleod Extendicare till his passing.

Edwin is survived by his son Kevin (Stacey), Lisa (Troy); grandchildren Brett (Kylie), Lacey (Troy), Kennedy and Kolby; great grandchildren Jackson, Zaiden, Brexten, Clay, Xander, Rayna and newest great grandchild due in May 2022.  Sisters Ruby, Esther, and Mina; Brother Clarence, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, first wife Clara, sisters Hanne, Ruth, and Edith; brother Rangvald, numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins in Canada and Norway.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
