With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edgar Frederick “Fred” Hill, 68, on December 2, 2024, in Lethbridge, AB. Fred was surrounded by family and loved ones at the time of his passing, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Born on April 13, 1956, in Portland, OR. Fred dedicated his life to the love and care of his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Yvonne (Birch) Hill, and a proud father to Allen Hill, Laura Hill, Ben (Kelsey) Hill, Jonathan (Jessica) Hill, and Krista Hill. As well as a loving Grandfather to Alexa Hill, Emily Hill, Gideon Hill, Laynee Hill, Penelope Hill, and Bridget Hill. Also survived by his sisters Dee Dee (Walter) Michel and Becky Hill. Along with his stepbrothers Phil (Annette) Moline and Kevin (Darla) Moline. With numerous nieces and nephews.  His greatest joy came from the moments spent with his family, whether telling jokes at family dinners or discussing sports with his sons.

Fred built a life centred around love, loyalty, and laughter; his family was always at the heart of everything he did.

Fred will be remembered for his sense of humour, unwavering family support and passion for The Blue Jays, Calgary Flames, and anything else sports related. This has been passed down and will be remembered with fondness.

A Service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 7th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, MOUNTAIN HEIGHTS CHAPEL, 175 Rocky Mountain Blvd West Lethbridge, AB. Friends are welcome to meet with the family from 10:00 to 10:45am prior to the service at the church.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the many beautiful memories Fred gifted us during his life.
