Douglas Harold Robert Shields

DOUGLAS HAROLD ROBERT SHIELDS, born October 28, 1975, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 25, 2022 at the age of 47 yrs. 

Those left behind to mourn include his mother Mary, his children Hannah (Clayton), Doug Jr., and Ryley, his sisters Carol (Bill) Turko, Debra (Leonard) Binning, and Brenda Shields, 6 nieces and nephews, as well as his fur buddies Barney and Karma.  He was predeceased by his father Doug in April of this year.

Doug’s early years were filled with hockey, as well as camping and fishing with the family.  As an adult, his adventures were plenty and throughout it all, he maintained a passion for the outdoors - especially fishing.  The last 4 ½ years have been especially challenging for him after a truck driving accident left him a quadriplegic.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at SALMON & SONS FUNERAL HOME located in Lethbridge, Alberta.
