CHRISTOPHER DEAN BLAND was born on May 25, 1974, in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2022, in Lethbridge at the age of 48.
He leaves behind his adopted parents Garfield and Diane Bland, and siblings, Kevin (Lorie) Bland, Alyson (Alan) Scoville, Line (Nick) Gagne and Amanda Bland. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other extended family. He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, Osborn and Elaine Bland and Golden and Lela Jensen. Chris was also predeceased by his brother Cameron and his biological sister Karen.
Chris spent his youth involved in the Scouting program and was very proud to have earned his Queen’s Venturer Badge. He loved listening to music, watching movies, gaming and spent many hours reading both novels and comic books. Cooking was something he loved to do, and he loved to cook for his family when he was younger. Chris loved animals and had a soft spot for his cats. He was devoted to his family but especially to his mom and dad. He was so grateful to be a part of an eternal family and that meant everything to him. He was troubled with a condition that was no fault of his own, as his birth mother made poor choices while carrying him. Chris was such a kind and caring soul, and he was always willing to help his friend if ever they needed anything. He had a smile that could light up a room and a quirky sense of humor. Chris enjoyed his employment working for a delivery service; but in his later years his health made it impossible for him to work. Chris you will be sadly missed by all those who you’ve impacted in your short life.
Until we meet again, Chris.
We love you.
There will be a family Graveside Service at a later date.
