He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Shannon (Bateman) Leavitt, his children; Kelci (Cody) Green, Jaidyn (Justin) Schneyder, Parker, and Brookelyn, his grandchildren; Maevi and Hayes, with 2 more on the way. He is also survived by his brothers, Tyler and Kasz, and his father, Bruce.
He was predeceased by his mother, Coralee, his siblings, Randi and Kyle, and his Mother-in-Law Wendy.
Chad was born on April 14, 1975, in Cardston, Alberta to Bruce Leavitt and Coralee Quinton. He was the oldest of 5 children and looked out for each one of them. He lived most of his life in Lethbridge Alberta but lived in a variety of places in Canada and The United States for his work. He was always on the go and traveling with his career.
Chad was an amazing and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his family fiercely and they were always his priority. His marriage to Shannon and their relationship was the treasure that he valued the most. He loved his children more than anything, he had a special relationship with each one of them and cared for them in the kindest and most loving way. In recent years he became a grandfather and found joy and happiness in his grandchildren. He loved and treasured his grandchildren and had a very special bond with them. Papa was THE favorite and was always there to play, love, and care for them. He was looking forward to the grandchildren that are soon to join the family. He is there with them now and will send them to his family from the other side.
Chad was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved to serve and was diligent in all his callings and assignments. His testimony of the Savior was deep and unshakable. He taught and led by example in all the Christlike ways he could.
Chad found joy in spending time with those he cared about most, and he will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and always found something to joke about in any situation. He was a man of few words unless there was an opportunity for him to make someone feel noticed. He was always there for anyone who needed him. He was a kind, stalwart brother, friend, and leader. Chad loved to spend time outdoors camping, fishing and hunting. He loved seeing the beauties of the world around him and being in the quiet peace of nature. He looked forward to growing old and spending his time with Shannon and enjoying the simple blessings of life with her.
Chad’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His influence was felt far and wide. We take comfort in his joyous reunion with those he loved who were waiting for him on the other side of the veil.
