Passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Oct 25, 2025 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital after battling numerous health issues.
Cecille was born Feb 19th 1941 in Cold Lake Alberta to Laurette and Joseph Fournier she was the 4th child born out of 9.
At the young age of 14 she attended the Bluebird Beauty Studio Hair Dressing school in Vancouver BC. She then returned to Lethbridge Alberta and started her life long career in hairdressing at Coby's beauty salon on 13th street north. From there she went on to own her own salons The House of Glamour the Hair Hut and the Kutting Korner in Coaldale Alberta.
Cecille's passion was doing hair and helping women to always look their best and to giving out her unwavering life advice whether it was good or bad! Her personality was fierce and she wore it well. She had many clients that followed her for years. She spent the last several years of her career working in the hair salons of (the old) Lethbridge Extendicare on 13th Street North and Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale Alberta. She was 75 when she reluctantly gave her most passionate career up. She worked very hard all of her life.
Cecille is survived by two daughters
Carrie (Casey) Kerner and Stephanie (Robert) May and 6 grandchildren Erin Kerner, Paige Kerner, Joel Kerner and Meghan (Craig) Richter, Micheal May and Michelle May. She has 6 great grandchildren Braxton, Emma, Shea, Kennedy, Banks and Carson.
Cecille loved her daughters and she adored all of her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was lucky enough to have all of them at her bedside during her final days. She played a role in every single grandchild's life and she loved each one dearly. Their stories tell of her love and her candid relationship she had with them and her "grandma advice" will follow with them forever.
She loved each and every one of you and she knew that you were all there.
Cecille and Alex Molnar married in 1961 Carrie was born and Stephanie followed. Cecille married the late Don Frache in 1980 those were the happiest and most content years of her life.
We would like to thank the staff of Fairmont Extendicare where she resided and the numerous staff at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital with a special thank you to Judy and Millet on 5A for their compassionate care and true understanding and support during her last stay in the hospital. Also to a very special friend Kristine Jensen for sitting with mom and to grand daughter Michelle for spending a night with Grandma.
Her "spiciness" and “unfiltered advice" lasted until the very end and we are never more certain that she is now catching up on all the hair that needs to be done in heaven,
as many family and friends have passed before her.
May you rest in peace mom you are so deserving of it.
Private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
