Cameron Neil Feist Obituary

Feist, Cameron Neil

On December 15, 2025 Cam Feist of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away at the age of 77 years with his beloved wife and family by his side.

Cam will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Diane; children Jodi (Theo) Eyckelhoff and Shawn (Joanne) Feist; 5 grandchildren: Sierra (Jared), Nathan, Cole, Kaylee, Travis; one great grandson Rhett (Cam’s little man) as well as his mother-in-law Norma Firth.  He is also survived by a brother Philip (Marion), 2 sisters Janet Meier and Rhonda (Jim) Koester as well as numerous brothers and sisters- in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Simon (Sam) and Mildred (Millie) Feist; Sister Patricia (Patsy) Havervold; father-in-law Edwin Firth; brother-in-law Philip Meier.

Cameron was born July 2, 1948 in Rosetown Saskatchewan to Simon and Mildred Feist.  He was their second son and fourth of five children.  He moved with his family to Hays Alberta and eventually met his beloved wife Diane.  They married in January of 1969 and settled in Lethbridge, Alberta where they raised their two children, Jodi and Shawn.   Cam enjoyed camping and spending time in Waterton, Alberta in particular.  Cam was a very proud Papa to 5 grandchildren and was very involved in their lives.  He also became a great grandfather in 2020 and Cam’s little man Rhett was his pride and joy the last few years.

Cam loved to spend time with his brother, dad, nephews and friends out hunting.

He was a very involved father, always at the rink or the ball diamond with his kids. You could often find him in the penalty box volunteering at his son’s hockey games.

He was the neighbor who had every tool you could imagine and was more than willing to loan them and his labor out to anyone who needed a hand.  There are many friends and family members who have driveways, garages or decks that were a direct result of his work.

Cameron spent the last three years of his life in the care of Good Samaritans Park Meadows Village at Cottage 5.  The family would like to thank the staff for the care Cam received over the past 3 years.

If friends so desire donations can be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, Alberta and NWT Chapter:  https://alzheimer.ca/ab/en

At Cam’s request cremation will take place with no formal funeral services.
