It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Maureen Biggar announce her passing on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the age of 61, after a difficult battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, and is now at peace.
Brenda was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, where she later met the love of her life, Ken. They left the big city for a life in the Prairies to raise their children. They bought their forever home in Stirling, Alberta, where their dreams of building a life became reality.
Brenda is survived by her loving Husband of 38 years, Kenneth Biggar, their children: Teresa (Dennis) Kabatoff, Jordan Biggar, and Brendan Biggar. She also leaves behind her beloved Mother Audrey Carter, Step-Father Roger Carter, Sisters Debra Collins and Karen Collins, her brother Kevin Collins, as well as five grand-children she adored more than anything, Austin Borthwick (14), Addison Kabatoff (9), Judy Biggar (5), Jory Biggar (4), Jake Biggar (1), her beloved dogs Mia and Lucy, as well as many loving friends. She was also predeceased by her Father, Douglas Collins.
Brenda will be forever loved and forever remembered for her kind nature, her love of family, the outdoors, and her animals. You could often find her with her grand-children, camping, being in charge of the campfire with her designated “fire poker”, or tending to her lawn and flower beds.
She was truly the most amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, and her passing leaves an emptiness in our lives. We will forever cherish every moment we had with her, until we see her again.
We all appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
As per Brenda's wishes, there will be a private family memorial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre, 960 19 St S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 1W5.
