Bernice Florence Rolfson (Bobinec), beloved wife of W. Kent Rolfson, was born March 21, 1941, in Wrentham, Alberta.  She passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, two days prior to her 85th birthday, surrounded by family that loved her.

Bernice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kent Rolfson.  She is also survived by her two children.

Todd Rolfson and his children - Alyssa Rolfson, Jenna Wilde (Duane), Todd Rolfson Jr. (Cadence), Haley Redford (Shawn) and a special daughter-in-law Laurea Rolfson.

Vanessa Pepers (Tim) and her children - Tyne Schnebly (Drew), Kirstie Welch (Patrick), Kira Freckleton (Jaren) and Carli Holbrook (Chaz).

She is the proud grandmother to 8 and great-grandmother to 20, with great-grandma now wrapping her arms around the next great-grandson arriving in August.

Bernice was raised on her family's farm near Readymade, Alberta, where she developed a strong work ethic, steady determination and deep spiritual foundation that guided her throughout her life. She was the second oldest of four siblings, who always expressed heartfelt love for her siblings.

Her early schooling was in Readymade, Alberta.  Bernice then completed her high school education in Coaldale, Alberta, where she loved basketball and earned the title of ping pong champion. After high school, Bernice attended Alberta Hospital Edmonton (AHE), previously known as Provincial Mental Institute at Oliver, where she trained for, and excelled in, nursing - receiving her RN.  In Calgary, she worked many years as a nurse in a family practice.  Upon moving to Lethbridge, she found her passion working in pediatrics for many years at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital.

Bernice and Kent were introduced by Bernice's sister, Thelma, and Kent's cousin, Wes Selman. He was instantly attracted to her bright, green eyes and jet black hair, styled in a French roll.  Shortly after dating, she married Kent Rolfson on August 3, 1962.  Bernice converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints early in their marriage and later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta temple on June 30, 1964, for time and all eternity.  A faithful and devoted member of the church, Bernice served throughout her life in various callings.  She had a passion serving in cub scouts and many hours and resources were dedicated to these boys.  Years later, she served at the Family History Center where she developed a love of genealogy, researching her own ancestors.  Bernice and Kent served together in the Cardston, Alberta temple as long as her health allowed.

Bernice had many talents that she developed throughout the years and shared with others.  Some of these talents were:  baking, knitting, sewing, reading, scripture study, geneology, and being a dedicated friend.  These friendships lasted her whole life.
